Admissions

ISEL is a public engineering school, integrated into Le Havre Normandy University.
There are several ways to join, depending on your profile and level of education:

Various training paths

  • ITSS (Initial training under Student status)

  • ITAS (Initial training under Apprentice status)

  • ITSAS (Initial training under Student then Apprentice status)

  • VAE (Validation of Acquired Experience)

Preparatory cycle

Admissions process

  • Post-A-level admissions only on parcoursup
  • Admission to the 2nd year of the preparatory cycle on file
  • Deadline for submission of applications: June 20, 2025

Profiles

  • General A-levels (mathematics + scientific speciality): Geipi Polytech competitive exam
    Schedule :

  • General A-levels mixed profile: selection on file via Parcoursup
  • Bac STI2D: selection on file via Parcoursup

Annual student cost in initial training: €618 and €0 for scholarship holders

  • CPGE MP, PC, PSI, MPI students:
    E3A Polytech exam

  • Any other CPGE, BUT, Licence profile:

    Admissibility results: from April 28, 2025

    Motivational interview and English via videoconf: from May 12 to May 23, 2025

Training cost

Annual student cost in initial training: €618 and €0 for scholarship holders

Free and paid training for apprentices.
Company work-study cost:

  • Apprenticeship contract: €10,500
  • Professional training contract: €8,400

MECHANICAL AND PRODUCTION ENGINEER

  • BAC+5
  • Vernon or Puteaux Campus, some modules at Le Havre
  • Formation en alternance

  • 3 years

Eligibility criteria

  • Under 30
  • Final admission is subject to signing an apprenticeship contract with a host company.

Profiles

  • After a 2-year higher education diploma: validated scientific L2, DUT, Industrial DUT, BTS, Preparatory exam for Grandes Écoles (CPGE) or diploma deemed equivalent
  • After A-levels + 3-year university degree: BUT, Professional Licence, L3, ATS

Training cost

Cost of an incoming mobility student coming from a university benefiting from an agreement with ISEL-Université Le Havre-Normandie: you may be exempt from all or part of the registration fees depending on the agreement with our partners.

Cost for anyone outside of a partnership agreement: €5,000.
